Spring Break Trip: Caves, Corvettes, and Country Music

Join us this Spring Break as we journey to some of the less touristic cities to experience a different side of American culture!  We will be touring Bowling Green, Kentucky; Mammoth Cave National Park; and Nashville, Tennessee.

Bowling Green is home to the only Corvette assembly plant in the world! Every Corvette that is made comes from here. We will visit the Corvette Museum and learn a little more about this classic American car. Bowling Green is also home to the Lost River Cave, where we will take a boat ride on an underground river! While in Bowling Green, we will also get a chance to tour a real Kentucky horse farm and participate in some of their daily chores.  Our hotel here has an indoor pool and hot tub, so it will be a nice place to relax in our down time.

Near Bowling Green is Mammoth Cave National Park, which is the longest known cave system in the world!  We will spend a full day here exploring some of the unique geographic features of this cave. Don't worry...you don't need any experience or special equipment.

In Nashville, we will visit the Country Music Hall of Fame to learn about this special kind of music that is uniquely American in origin. We will also get to experience a dinner concert at the famous Bluebird Cafe. We will be touring several other spots in Nashville as well. Also, we will get the chance to stay in American homes, and one evening we will help with some charity work so you can experience that side of American culture as well.

We will leave on Monday morning, so you'll have the first weekend of your Spring Break to relax. We will return Saturday in the early afternoon, so you will have Saturday evening and Sunday to "recover" before your classes start back. There will also be some down time and some time during the car rides if you need to work on homework.
